Inkberrow Fun Day - May 2008
Reverting to a one-day event this year, we were blessed with a dry but breezy day. Pam Griffiths was our judge for the novelty classes and Elizabeth Kershaw judged working tests. There were fifty beardies entered in the novelty classes and the best in show was awarded to Kath Crompton's 'George'.
Trent Valley Ramble - June 2008
About thirty members and their beardies enjoyed a very pleasant ramble around a 3-mile triangle taking in the north-eastern extreme of Cannock Chase, the Trent & Mersey Canal, the River Trent and Shugborough. Lunch was taken at the Lockside Cafe, Great Haywood and the rain held off until we had strolled through Shugborough estate after which the heavens opened. Still, the day was enjoyed by all.
Nottingham Beardie Bounce - July 2008
This was a new event at a new venue for the Branch. The Nottingham Dog Training Club's delightful premises in its little island of green tranquility close to the city centre was the location for an afternoon of fun under blue skies. The event certainly appealed to those branch members who hail from the north and east of the area. We are repeating the event in 2009.
November Party 2008
This was the third year we have held our November party at Cheswick Green Village Hall
