Beach Ramble - Cleethorpes - 17th March

There was an amazing turn out for the first event in the BCC 2013 calender. Twenty-plus dogs arrived at Cleethorpes sea-front for a ramble organised by Joe and Steve with their Beardie Alfie. All had arrived by 11am and enjoyed a long walk along the beach edge then all the dogs had a run on the beach and through the water. What a great time they all had! The weather was cold but dry, It was quite obvious that all enjoyed the day - especially the dogs! Some of the walkers finished off with fish and chips for lunch. Thanks from every one to Joe and Steve for a good day out!
Cotswold Ramble - 21st April

A small but select band of Beardies and owners walked the Cotswolds from Ilmington again this year and were rewarded with dry weather and fairly dry ground. The company wound up the day at the Red Lion in Ilmington, who must be getting used to invasions by hairy and muddy beardies by now!
Inkberrow Fun Day - 19th May

A beautiful Spring day in Worcestershire ensured members and friends could have a wonderful time at this year's Inkberrow fun day. Our grateful thanks to a hard-working committee and to our judges and stewards for the efficient and friendly way in which they judged the fun classes and working tests.
Churnet Valley Ramble - 23rd June

Despite a wet and very windy day, there was a great turnout for this repeat ramble in the Churnet Valley, Staffs. There was sufficient mud to keep most Beardies happy and the humans were entertained by a steam train ride and satisfied by a good lunch at the Black Lion. Yours truly eventually thawed out at 10 p.m.!
Lyth Hill Ramble - 11 August

Lyth Hill Country Park was looking fabulous on a bright, dry day and the opportunity was not lost by the twenty-odd members and over thirty Beardies to participate in a fine walk, followed by lunch at the Three Fishes pub in Bayston Hill. Everyone wished for Ian (who instigated this event three years ago) the very best outcome for his upcoming joint surgery.
Trent Valley Ramble - 28th September

Fifteen members and their Beardies walked a 3.5 mile circuit along canal, river and through woods and Shugborogh estate in perfect, warm autumn weather, stopping half-way for lunch at the Lockside Restaurant. A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable day for all who took part and with no mishaps in either canal or river this time!
Churnet Valley Ramble - 14th October

A party of nearly twenty members and friends and their Beardies were rewarded with a fine autumn day for their walk along the Caldon Canal from Froghall to Consall. After a laid-back and sociable couple of hours in the garden of the Black Lion at Consall, the majority of our travellers let the train take the strain for the return leg to Froghall. Needless to say, with such beautiful weather in such fine scenery, everyone enjoyed the day.
November Party - 25th November

Wow, what a good turn-out there was to this year's Midland Branch November Party at the Cheswick Green Village Hall, Solihull. Over 23 Beardies and their Mums and Dads attended from all over to make this a very special day. Pat and her band of helpers worked hard to make this a great event for both dogs and their owners.
